Finance Manager

Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Finance Manager will assist with the day-to-day financial management and record keeping of the organization. Provide counsel and support to the Executive Director on all financial matters, work with the Board Treasurer and staff the Finance Committee. Coordinate with part-time, contract bookkeeper to ensure timely data entry and appropriate fiscal controls. Learn more about this position.

Youth Sailing Instructor

Join a great team of youth educators on Lake Union at the urban hands-on maritime heritage center that is The Center for Wooden Boats (CWB). By teaching sailing in classic wooden 8-foot El Toro prams, the Youth Sailing Program aims to develop 9-16 year-old students’ self-confidence and foster skills in observation, decision-making, and leadership. One-on-One/GetZAPPED! Instructors

The mission of the adult learn to sail programs at The Center for Wooden Boats is to introduce the public to and educate them about seamanship, small craft heritage and the craft of sail. Learn more about this position.

One-on-One Instructor
For beginner sailors with sporadic schedules or those who would like to refresh their boat handling skills, we offer One-on-One sailing lessons. Work individually with the student to help identify skills to focus on and improve sailing skills.  Lessons are available by appointment in many of the classic vessels maintained by CWB. Livery Checkouts are complimentary as part of each lesson. This can be a great introductory sail experience for out of town visitors.

Get Zapped!
An intensive three-day sailing course for two people.  This condensed and personalized version of CWB’s SailNOW! program is coordinated to fit the students’ schedule in a combination of three four-hour lessons.
