Lake Union Rotary Happy Hour for Good
Thursday, October 20th, 5:30 – 7:30pm
The Center for Wooden Boats Boathouse
Suggested donation of $20 per person.
All proceeds go to support the Lake Union Park Ambassador Program, a new docent program for Lake Union Park.

Third Friday Speaker Series: Chris Cunningham
Friday, October 21, 7pm – 10pm
The Center for Wooden Boats Boathouse
Chris Cunningham has built a variety of small boats powered by oar, paddle or sail. He has cruised them 7,000 miles – and will talk about his experiences, as well as the Garvey he has built with a pop-up cabin, wood stove and hot and cold running water.

CWB Marine Surplus Sale
Saturday, November 12th, 9am to 1pm.
CWB Offsite Storage: 420 Pontius Ave N
CWB is clearing out all kinds of surplus marine items including sails, boats, trailers, rigging, spars, engines, office supplies, power and hand tools and more. Don’t miss this huge sale, everything must go! Raffles, door prizes and free stuff will make this more than worth your while.

SailNOW! Learn to Sail Program for Adults and Families
October 29 – December 3
The Center for Wooden Boats
Members: $335, Non-Members: $375 (Youth ages 16-18 may take SailNOW! for $188 when registering with two adults.)
This is the signature CWB learn-to-sail program for adults and families. Students will learn the basic boat handling skills that are the foundation for a lifetime of sailing. Each session starts with Shore School, a two hour classroom where sail theory and terminology are explained. Following Shore School is a series of six On the Water lessons which give you the opportunity develop your skills towards sailing solo. Lessons are taught by dedicated and trained volunteer instructors in CWB’s fleet of Blanchard Jr. Knockabouts, built on Lake Union between 1935-1955.
