The Center for Wooden Boats (CWB) will be completing a major renovation in the waterway of our facilities this week.

What: The Center for Wooden Boats will move its boats, Boathouse and Boatshop out of the way so that a barge with a crane can move in and pull out the existing creosote soaked pilings and replace them with new pilings designed to protect the water quality of Lake Union and better secure its buildings and docks.

When: Daily from February 7th thru February 11th

Where: The Center for Wooden Boats, 1010 Valley St, Seattle, WA 98109

Major portions of CWB’s floating structures will be closed during this work. The boathouse will be closed and without bathrooms or electricity from Monday, February 7th through Friday, February 11th. However, limited programs, including scheduled sailing classes, will continue to run from facilities in Lake Union Park during this disruption.

Signs will be posted onsite directing visitors around any facility and dock closures.
