2011 Port Townsend Wooden Boat Festival
Are you planning to visit the fabulous Port Townsend Wooden Boat Festival? CWB’s Executive Director, Betsy Davis, is looking forward to chatting with festival attendees noon – 3pm Saturday and Sunday (September 10th & 11th) aboard the 1921 built BC forest service vessel Syrene 1.
The Port Townsend Wooden Boat Festival will feature over 300 vessels, hundreds of demonstrations and presentations, and it salutes traditional wooden boatbuilding while inviting energetic debate and demonstration about the latest innovations in boatbuilding, equipment, skills and adventure. If you’ve never been, be aware that it’s a much different experience than CWB’s Lake Union Wooden Boat Festival!
A special invitation goes out to CWB members and friends to come hear about CWB’s future plans, swap sea stories, or give ideas and input about how CWB is doing and where we should be headed. Thanks to the Northwest Maritime Center for producing such a great Festival and to Robert Boyd of Orca Creative for making Syrene 1 available for this CWB “Open Ship”.
Hope to see you then!
